A year in the spotlight

We're reflecting on the work we’ve delivered alongside our clients this year. From championing sustainability and innovation to driving conversations about diversity and inclusivity in real estate, our focus has been on creating lasting impact and delivering measurable results. This blog highlights some of our work from the past year, celebrates our team’s achievements, and offers a look at what's ahead in 2025.

A new destination with next-generation sustainability at its heart

We’ve been proudly working with Quadrum Global on its largest London project to date at 11 Belgrave Road. From launch to ongoing support, we’ve been raising awareness, driving engagement and supporting its leasing strategy by promoting the building’s unique sustainability and occupier wellbeing features.

Highlights:

  • Won three awards, a finalist in 16
  • Secured nearly 100 pieces of media coverage
  • Secured two speaking platforms for showcasing the project
  • Boosted LinkedIn followers and engagement
  • Drove significant traffic to the project website

“Instantly embedding themselves in the wider team, Holistic developed a clear positioning and detailed plan that added significant value to the launch of 11 Belgrave in London Victoria. They’ve successfully communicated our points of difference, fully understanding and exploiting the channels to reach our target audiences. This has led to excellent media coverage, conference exposure and targeted LinkedIn activity to keep our scheme front of mind.” – Ilyas Aslam, COO, Quadrum Global

Reviving history at Edinburgh Futues Institute

This year saw the completion of a remarkable transformation that’s been years in the making at Edinburgh University’s Futures Institute. Bennetts Associates converted a Category A-listed former hospital into a vibrant, sustainable education hub, balancing history with low-carbon design. Holistic has been leading the communications, supporting the team and the university to celebrate the project’s completion and opening.

A new pathway to homeownership

We’ve been working with Kettel Homes on the launch of its £150m single-family Rent to Own strategy, focused on partnering with investors and developers to deliver new build energy efficient homes for the ‘squeezed middle’ and helping first-time buyers achieve their goal of homeownership.

Highlights:

  • Widespread coverage of the £150m Rent to Own strategy launch, including pieces in EG, Property Week, Green Street News, Property Investor Today, and CoStar
  • Interviews published in key titles
  • Feature articles secured in Inside Housing, Property Week, BTR News, and CoStar
  • Reactive media comments published

Diversity in real estate

Our sister business, Holistic Insight, supports organisations across the built environment by gathering valuable feedback to inform strategy, unlock growth and improve engagement. From market sentiment and client feedback to employee wellbeing and diversity insights, our surveys always deliver actionable results.

Holistic Insight partnered with YEP at UKREiiF to conduct a survey exploring perceptions of the built environment and strategies for attracting the next generation of talent. The findings revealed key opportunities for the sector:

  • Addressing misconceptions: People’s perceptions of the industry improve dramatically once they enter it, highlighting the need to promote its vibrancy and diversity.
  • Increasing awareness of roles: The industry offers over 50 career paths, but many remain unknown to young people.
  • Promoting diverse entry routes: Apprenticeships, T Levels, and non-traditional pathways need better visibility to attract a broader audience.
  • Engaging younger generations earlier: Introducing real estate careers at junior and senior school levels could have a significant impact on diversity.
  • These insights are part of YEP’s efforts to make real estate careers more accessible, diverse, and appealing to younger people. This is exactly the kind of initiative Holistic Insight was created for: to uncover insights that drive meaningful impact and change, helping organisations in the built environment adapt and thrive. Celebrating milestones

Last month we announced the promotion of three team members – Nicola Hanser, Lisa Northcott, and Kim Taylor – to director roles within Holistic Group. These promotions reflect their exceptional contributions and leadership in driving client and business success.

“I am delighted to announce these very well deserved promotions. Nicola, Lisa and Kim have all been with the company for a long time and have made a great contribution to its success. Now, at a time when the group is going from strength to strength, they join the group board and the management boards of the individual businesses, bringing their exceptional skills and expertise as well as their drive and ambition to help achieve our goals. I am excited to see what we can do together.” – Sophie Eastwood, MD, Holistic Group

Looking ahead to 2025

As we wrap up 2024, we’re already looking forward to what 2025 has in store for us. Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead:

The UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum is fast becoming one of the most important events in the built environment calendar, bringing together industry leaders to drive conversations, share insights, and support collaboration across the industry. We’re proud supporters of this event and look forward to continuing our involvement in the coming year.

March marks the return of MIPIM in Cannes, and with it, a chance to connect with global property leaders and showcase innovation in the sector. To help you make the most of your time there, our Maximising MIPIM Guide is packed with practical tips and advice to help you make lasting connections while you’re there and when you’re back.

Continuing the conversation

Behind every landmark event and milestone, we are here, working with our clients to address the industry’s most pressing challenges. From sustainability and industry inclusivity to climate resilience and technological innovation, we’re proud to work alongside our partners to shape meaningful conversations and deliver measurable results that drive real change. It’s what we do – communicate difference, and deliver impact.

As we close the chapter on 2024, we want to thank you for being part of our journey.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Here’s to continuing our work and achieving even more together in 2025.
