Returning for its fourth consecutive year, The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which now attracts over 16,000 attendees, partnered with our group research business Holistic Insight as its official research partner, to undertake one of the largest sentiment surveys of its kind. Holistic led the communications strategy, ensuring the findings were shared widely across the industry - including through coordinated media outreach.
Scoping the opportunity and designing a benchmark survey
Working with Holistic Insight we provided guidance on the scope and opportunity to gather hugely valuable data across the UK’s real estate and infrastructure sectors and developed a set of questions that would capture positive and negative sentiment about the market and explore key challenges. It was also designed to be able to be repeated year on year, generating a powerful benchmark for the industry.
Communicating the findings
Holistic acted as the communications consultant responsible for launching, promoting and sharing the report across the industry, via the media, LinkedIn, its own contacts and by word of mouth on the ground at the event. Extensive coverage was achieved in key industry outlets such as CoStar, BE News and BTR News as well as regional titles including the Insider series and Yorkshire Post.
Shaping the conversation
The research also attracted reactions from major industry organisations such as the BPF and the RTPI and is being cited by key businesses in the industry as an illustration of the state of the market. At the event, it was also provided to government attendees to share the views of those investing in, developing, and improving the UK’s built environment, highlighting the issues that need addressing.
