• Ask the industry what the key pressures and challenges are in order to meet ESG targets and there are many, but cost and viability still stand out
• Accreditations and badges are useful and have a role to play but they often contradict each other and need simplifying
• Developers are doing more in social value terms than they are likely sharing
• We’re not living in a net zero world yet so we need to look to a future horizon
• Everyone has a role to play to accelerate change. Patience, passion and perseverance are the name of the game
• Investment and impact can go hand in hand. You can have an impact and make a return!
• Equally, while resilient portfolio performance requires action on net zero carbon, we have time if we start now
